DESCRIPTION:“The Importance of Romance” in presented as part of Festival by the Marsh which runs July 5 – 26 and includes: more plays; Mali Obomsawin in concert; workshops in fine arts\, theatre and writing; an artist in residence; and more!\n\n“The Importance of Romance” brings together two charming one-act comedies – “The Romancers” by Edmond Rostand\, and “The Importance of the House Beautiful” by Ron Kelly Spurles\, The plays are both set in the late 1800s and feature more than 15 performers in period costume. “The Romancers” is an entertaining play complete with sword fights that is inspired by “Romeo and Juliet” – but with a twist! “The Importance of the House Beautiful” is a clever comedy based on an actual real-life visit to Moncton by Oscar Wilde in 1882. SUMMARY:"The Good\, the Bard\, and the Ugly" at Fort Beausejour
DESCRIPTION:To reserve a seat visit www.festivalbythemarsh.ca\n\nWill Shakespeare needs a new play for the Queen – in less than a week. Desperately he puts together bits and pieces of plays he’s been working on but has yet to produce. The result is a show with many of Shakespeare’s most famous characters\, speaking some of his most famous lines – out of order\, to the wrong character\, and sometimes confused with other lines! The outcome is a humorous smorgasbord of love lost\, love found\, lust\, dramatic tension and absurdity with love potions\, sleeping potions and death potions! All of this\, and music to boot.\nAt Fort Beausejour NHS\, rain location at St. Mark’s Anglican Church Hall\, 59 Mt Whatley Loop Rd\, Aulac (5 minutes from Fort B ). To reserve tickets click here (reservations are not required for the Fort\, but they will be used to admit people to our rain venue which has limited capacity). Admission by donations.\npresented by Live Bait Theatre – written by and featuring Michelle Daigle\, Ron Kelly Spurles\, and Don Rigley
