Stompin’ Tom became a fan of Whiskey Jack during their tenure as regulars on the CBC’s Tommy Hunter Show. Each week, Tom would join millions of his fellow Canadians and watch them sing, play and laugh on their own segment, “The Old Back Porch”. What followed was a 25 year friendship and musical collaboration with Tom that produced many recordings, cross country tours and all night kitchen parties in his home.
