DESCRIPTION:Dorchester’s Special Garbage Pick-up dates will be held on June 1\, June 23\, October 19\,  2023. \nCitizens are encouraged to clean up their properties and have their waste materials hauled away at this time. \nPLEASE MARK THESE DATES ON YOUR CALENDAR! \nRESIDENTS ARE REQUESTED TO HAVE THEIR GARBAGE PLACED AT \nCURBSIDE THE DAY BEFORE THEIR REGULAR GARBAGE COLLECTION DAY.  Collection may occur the day after\, depending on scheduling. \nItems that WILL be picked up in addition to normal household garbage:  bagged leaves\, furniture\, appliances\, tree limbs no longer than 4 feet\, neatly tied in bundles (not entire trees) and construction debris\, up to 50 kg (placed in a separate pile). \nItems that WILL NOT be picked up:  cars and car parts\, trees\, brush\, or Household Hazardous Wastes\, or items from apartments greater than 4 units (currently not receiving municipal pick-up). \nBLACK GARBAGE BAGS WITH CONTENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. \nFor more information\, please call Miller Waste at (506) 855-9783.

DESCRIPTION:Hello all members and friends of the Tantramar Seniors’ College\, \nWe are excited to announce TSC’s 15th anniversary Annual General Meeting\, to be held Sunday\, October 22\, 2023\, 2:00 PM\, at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre\, 182 Main Street\, Sackville\, NB. \nThis event is free\, open to the public and will feature live entertainment and refreshments. We welcome all who support the mission of the TSC–to provide educational opportunities for seniors in a welcoming environment–to come to this fun event! \nDuring the AGM there will be a short business meeting looking at the TSC budget\, nominations for committees and tabling of other reports\, at which only TSC members can vote. \nLive entertainment this year will be provided by Robert Thomas and the Sessionmen [Website link: robertthomasandthesessionmen.com] featuring outstanding musicians Robert Thomas\, Ray Legere\, Jon Arsenault and Maxime Forbes. His songs can be found in the repertoires of everyone from Kenny Rogers and Joe Cocker to Bonnie Raitt and the Chicks. He is a two-time ECMA (Entertainer of the Year) nominee. After many years mostly behind the scenes\, Thomas is now taking a long overdue turn in the spotlight as a touring performer with his band of stellar co-writers\, the sessionmen – Ray Legere\, Jon Arsenault and Maxime Forbes. Collectively\, the sessionmen are a musical force in their own right having performed with the likes of Alison Krauss\, Tony Rice\, Doc Watson\, Rita MacNeil\, the Rankins\, Natalie MacMaster\, Michelle Shocked and The Chieftains. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy an afternoon of moving\, exciting and timeless choral and orchestral music at the closing concert of Choral Fest 2023\, 2:30 pm at Convocation Hall\, Mount Allison University.\nEvery year between 1982 and 2020\, singers from New Brunswick and around the country have gathered at the New Brunswick Choral Federation’s Choral Fest to rehearse and perform a significant work under one of Canada’s leading conductors. This wonderful event is relaunched in 2023 with Johannes Brahms’ Schicksalslied and various Canadian songs under Conductor Kiera Galway\, with the help of Mount Allison University’s choral and orchestral ensembles.\, and with a performance by Moncton’s Riversong. Admission by donation at the door.
