DESCRIPTION:Saturday Afternoon Music at the Library: All ages\, one-on-one guitar fundamentals by appointment between 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoons. Bring your own instrument or use one of the library’s guitars. Beginner instruction in playing and reading music (notation and tablature) in all styles is offered\, as well as beginner to intermediate classical. (We offer beginner ukulele instruction as well!) The library can provide a place to jam with your friends\, too – just ask and we’ll set up a time; we also have a piano for in-house use\, and guitars and ukuleles that may be borrowed.

Devastated\, the newly deaf Wilde is summarily abandoned by virtually everyone he knows and forced to seek out new purpose and meaning in his life. What follows is both hilarious — confronting a cocaine “badger” — and touching —reconnecting with music despite his deafness. Canadian Michael Dowse directs with great style and wit\, deftly balancing zany humour with honest sentiment. IT’S ALL GONE PETE TONG remains a hidden gem of Canadian cinema.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday Afternoon Music at the Library: All ages\, one-on-one guitar fundamentals by appointment between 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoons. Bring your own instrument or use one of the library’s guitars. Beginner instruction in playing and reading music (notation and tablature) in all styles is offered\, as well as beginner to intermediate classical. (We offer beginner ukulele instruction as well!) The library can provide a place to jam with your friends\, too – just ask and we’ll set up a time; we also have a piano for in-house use\, and guitars and ukuleles that may be borrowed.
