The subtle charms of Ferness\, however\, eventually overwhelm Mac\, and he begins to question his complicity in the destructive scheme. \nBill Forsyth’s deft direction strikes the perfect balance between humorous fairy tale and urgent social drama\, achieving an effect that verges on magical realism. With just a simple cardboard template\, and your choice of two\, three\, four or more strands of yarn\, learn to make your own one-of-a-kind wooly creations. \nWhether you go bright and bold or soft and subtle\, your pom-poms are certain to bring joy. \nPart colour fiend\, part hypothesis muppet\, Marit Munson learned to dye yarn in 2012 and immediately began asking “What would happen if…?” Her unique dye processes make space for serendipity and play as she creates lively colour on high quality\, natural fibre yarn. A new member of the Canadian Wool Collective\, Marit is a huge fan of the practical\, ecological\, and aesthetic qualities of a good sheepy wool yarn. Most recently\, she’s been a helping hand at sheep shearing at a regenerative farm in Nova Scotia\, buying fleeces and working with spinning mills to introduce several new 100% Canadian yarns that are soft and springy and full of character. \nMAKER MAKER is a monthly program of seriously small after-hours art workshops. Led by diverse Maker Mentors\, each workshop introduces a pocket-sized art project that can be made in two hours or less. Designed for accomplished and aspiring makers alike\, MAKER MAKER is for anyone interested in making small things by hand with friends and fellow makers. This informal workshop series explores how working small can be practical\, portable and playful\, economical\, sharable and even wearable. \nMAKER MAKER is free\, all materials are provided\, and no registration required.
