Pugwash Estuary trails. Rescheduled from the summer, this is a beautiful addition to the fall hikes! We will start by walking the 6 km Peace Trail, which follows the Pugwash river as it winds towards the Northumberland Strait. The trail is small and has a few obstacles, a few trees down and the usual roots and rocks. There are some short steep sections. We will then hike the shorter and mostly flat 3 km Pugwash Estuary loop, an easy trail through forest with extensive Fiona damage, followed by great views over the estuary, with lots of opportunities for bird sightings.
