SUMMARY:Sackville Virtual Triathlon & Duathlon 2020
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 2020 Sackville Triathlon & Duathlon! (Sackville Triathlon and Duathlon) \nIts traditional form was cancelled due to COVID-19. In attempt to keep the triathlon/duathlon season spirit alive\, the 2020 Sackville Virtual Triathlon & Duathlon was created! \nAthletes can choose between a Sprint Triathlon (750m swim\, 20km bike\, 5km run) or a Sprint Duathlon (5km run\, 20km bike\, 2.5km run). \nYou will have the week of August 17th-23rd to complete the race. That means\, you can do it all at once like a true triathlete/duathlete or even break it up into legs over the course of a few days! We want everyone possible to get outside and give it a try\, regardless of experience! \nIt is $35 per participant and is open to all ages. Registration can be completed here: https://ccnbikes.com/#!/events/sackville-triathlon-duathlon-2020 \nRegistration is open now all the way until the last day of our event (August 23rd)! \nOur virtual triathlon/duathlon offers athletes the opportunity to come together (not physically\, of course) in fun outdoor recreation! We will have a pre-marked out course here in Sackville. Including buoys in the lake. Or you can do it from the comfort of your own neighbourhood! The choice is yours! \nEvery participant will receive a finisher’s medal. They will be mailed directly to you. Only those who complete our pre-marked course in Sackville will be eligible for other prizes. Prizing will be based on participation\, not performance\, so everyone has an equal chance of winning. \nParticipants choosing to participate in our virtual triathlon/duathlon will be doing so at their OWN RISK. You are solely responsible for participating in this event in a manner that is in accordance with the most recent and up to date safety recommendations of the government and public health officials in your area. \nYour personal results can be shared in a variety of ways:\n1) Join our Strava Club! (Sackville Triathlon & Duathlon 2020)\n2) Send in a screenshot/picture of your times to our email thesackvilleswimclub@gmail.com\n3) Send in a screenshot/picture of your times to our Facebook Page (Sackville Triathlon and Duathlon)
