DESCRIPTION:Saturday Afternoon Music at the Library: All ages\, one-on-one guitar fundamentals by appointment between 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoons. Bring your own instrument or use one of the library’s guitars. Beginner instruction in playing and reading music (notation and tablature) in all styles is offered\, as well as beginner to intermediate classical. (We offer beginner ukulele instruction as well!) The library can provide a place to jam with your friends\, too – just ask and we’ll set up a time; we also have a piano for in-house use\, and guitars and ukuleles that may be borrowed.

DESCRIPTION:Are you a parent of an athletic kid or a coach looking to support your athletes and help keep them playing? Do you play sports and want to learn how to up your game by better understanding how your body works? \nIn Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries (for everyone)\, learn to recognize and treat common athletic injuries with instructor Jocelyn Dowling\, Head Athletic Therapist at MtA. \nSupported with instruction in anatomy\, participants will learn how to assess\, rehabilitate\, and tape or support athletic injuries to enhance the recovery process and speed healing. \nThis course includes 6 self-paced\, online modules (open September 8) and 3 in-person\, hands-on skill sessions\nheld on September 22\, 26\, and 29 at 6-8 pm at the MtA Athletic Centre. \n$274 + tax\n10% off for early registration by August 29\n10% off at all times for individuals aged 65+ \nLearn more and register at extendedlearningstore.mta.ca.
