SUMMARY:MtA Music: Chamber Orchestra Concert
DESCRIPTION:A set of well-loved melodies is centred around Grieg’s famous Piano Concerto in A minor\, featuring Concerto Competition winner Blake Shepherd. Balancing this is a fascinating pair of early 20th century British works; one a suite by a musician of colour named Samuel Coleridge-Taylor\, and the other a tone poem by his teacher Sir Charles Villiers Stanford. Admission is free; donations received at the door with proceeds for student scholarships and awards. For more information call 506-364-2374 or email music@mta.ca. See our full calendar of events at mta.ca/music.
