DESCRIPTION:Three great works for band\, spanning three eras of band composition\, and representing three countries that have produced a wealth of music for the genre. Gustav Holst’s foundational First Suite in E-flat (1909)\, John Barnes Chance’s magnum opus\, the Symphony No. 2 (1972)\, and Yasuhide Ito’s 1990 masterpiece Gloriosa – Symphonic Poem for Band. \nAdmission is free; donations received at the door with proceeds for student scholarships and awards.
