SUMMARY:MtA Music Guest Lecture: Learning at the Speed of Childhood
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Christine Carter (Memorial University) explores learning strategies from the fields of cognitive\, sport\, and performance psychology and how they can be applied to optimize learning and performance in a variety of contexts. A central focus of the workshop will be on “desirable difficulties\,” intentionally introduced challenges that make learning more effective. \nThe guest lecture will be preceded by a Single Reeds Master Class with Dr. Carter\, taking place in the Conservatory Band Room (004) at 3pm.
