Wetland Day celebrations begin with an information meeting of individuals and groups doing work related to wetlands in the Tantramar area on the internationally recognized World Wetlands Day February 2^nd. We will also announce the winner of our #Tantramarshi wetlands photography contest that day too! The community can expect some incoming wetland-themed content over Tantramar’s social media account for the occasion.

A public event for families will follow on Saturday, February 4^th from 10 am to 12 noon out of the Sackville Visitor Information Centre at 34 Mallard Dr. The event will include:

• cake, hot chocolate and apple cider for all (please bring your own mug)
• a tour of the Waterfowl Park starting at 10 am
• a scavenger hunt in the Park for young people (with prizes) – details available at the Visitor Centre
• and the showing a wetlands themed video on loop
