LUNAR BLOOM
Lunar Bloom is an emerging Toronto based trio, rooted in the folk tradition. After meeting at Sheridan College, Brittany, Kelly, and Jocelyn began writing songs together just for fun, and quickly discovered that they were creating something very special. Their captivating original tunes feature complex vocal harmonies and intimate storytelling. Imagine dreamy love songs balanced with feminist anthems and calls to action. They lean into harmonic tension and rhythms that challenge expectations, creating the story of each song through musical devices as well as poetic lyrics.
Their single Sweater became Top 100 in CBC Searchlight 2020, and their debut EP earned a nomination in the Folk/Roots Category for the Independent Music Awards 2020. They have toured throughout Southern Ontario, showcased at Folk Music Ontario, and received radio play on Ontario stations, including Just Us Folk, Canoe FM, and CBC’s “Fresh Air” with Nana Aba Duncan.
When writing music, their motto is “the personal is universal”, and you definitely hear that on their debut album, Running Deep, which explores social issues and personal challenges, all within an ethereal landscape, they call ‘dream folk’.

Kevin Christopher
Kevin Christopher is a recent arrival to New Brunswick after he and his young family heard the call to adventure and drove their wagon all the way from Vancouver Island, BC, to the Maritimes. Kevin considers himself a curator of esoteric songs by artists young and old, that need to be played instead of forgotten. Kevin’s original songs are steeped in themes of West Coast loneliness, desolation, and inclement weather. More recently, since he became a dad to two kids, he writes about them, because they are all he has time to think about.
