Students on Ice: introducing youth to nature and indigenous cultures on an expedition ship traveling the Arctic.
Garry Donaldson, Manager of Wildlife Assessment and Protected Areas for the Canadian Wildlife Service Atlantic Region has volunteered with this international organization on 13 Students on Ice expeditions to date. He’ll provide an overview of the program including its goals to connect youth to the natural world, sustainable economies, and indigenous reconciliation. This will be presented with a healthy dose of images of Arctic landscapes, seascapes and wildlife.
