Montreal-based author and editor Mark Abley has published three books of poetry and several works of non-fiction including Spoken Here: Travels Among Threatened Languages (2003), The Prodigal Tongue: Dispatches from the Future of English (2008) and most recently Conversation with a Dead Man: The Legacy of Duncan Campbell Scott (2013).
